What Are Automatic Workflow Reminders?
An admin can configure workflow steps to send out automated reminders to the original approver of a step to remind them that they need to take action on a step.
Why Would I Use Workflow Reminders?
There may be a workflow process that needs to move quickly. Some approvers need to be reminded that there is a step waiting for them so they don't hold up the process.
Which Steps Can I Set Up Reminders On?
Admins can set up automated reminders on task and approval steps.
Can I Set Up Reminders Per Step?
Yes. Workflow reminders can be set up at the app level and at the step level.
How Many Times Will the Reminders be Sent Out?
The admin can choose between sending out one email reminder or sending them at regular intervals until the workflow step has been completed.
How Do I Set Up Reminders at the App Level?
- Access the app you would like to set up reminders for
- Select the Workflow tab at the top of the screen
- Select Workflow Settings in the upper right-hand corner
- Select the Send reminder email notifications checkbox
- Choose if you would like the email only to go out one time or if you would like it to be sent out regularly
- Choose how many days after the original email, the notification should be sent out
- Access the publish tab and click Publish to enable these reminders for all future steps

How Do I Set Up Reminders at the Step Level?
- Access the app you would like to set up reminders for
- Select the Workflow tab at the top of the screen.
- Select the step you would like to reminders for

Can I See How Many Step-Level Reminder Settings There Are?
Yes. If an admin would like to change the reminder settings for all of the steps within an app they can clear out the step-level reminders.
- Access the app-level reminder settings
- Look underneath the setting to see if there are any step overrides
- Select Remove overrides to clear out the step configurations and have them respect the app reminder settings
What is on the Workflow Reminder Email?
The workflow reminder email is the same as the original email that was sent out to users.
