Shared Data

Shared Data refers to foundational data sets that support and connect curriculum data across the Kuali Academic Ops suite. These data sets may be used in multiple ways, such as within program and course forms, or even across our other products.

Shared Data is ideal for establishing standard data sets that need to remain consistent across different forms, and it can help to ensure accuracy and efficiency across curriculum processes. Shared Data includes a customizable form for each data set, may be configured with a workflow, supports standard and conditional permissions, and additional data sets can be purchased if needed.

Shared Data will appear in the Kuali Academic Ops suite as a separate product from Curriculum Management in order to house the data in a way that allows it to be shared across various forms.

The Shared Data icon will include the icon in the upper right, noting this as a Kuali product. The icon and title of the product cannot be changed, but you can favorite it to make it easier to access.

Shared Data will include the following by default:

• Subject Codes
• Terms
• Course Sets
• Rules Sets
