Why does the acknowledge step in my workflow show as 'cancelled' when it is the last step in the workflow?

Acknowledge steps are automatically canceled if they are not acted on by the time the workflow completes. 

To clarify further, acknowledge steps placed as the last step of a workflow do not run, as the document is already finalized and the user can no longer take action on it at that point.  

We recommend adjusting your workflow to avoid placing acknowledge steps at the very end, as they won’t be triggered once the workflow is complete, or consider using a notification step instead.
