The System History is an event list of everything that that is happening within your Kuali Forms/Apps, Documents, and Permissions. It is specifically designed for system administrators.
If you have System Administrator permissions, you can access the System History from your suite menu.
Viewing the System History
By default, the System History will display the Date & Time, User, Document Type, Component, and Event Type columns; however using the toolbar at the top of the screen, you can configure what information is shown in the report.
Below is a description of each of the tools available to you in the toolbar:
- Search
Allows you to search through the list of events by keyword. You can search for events pertaining to a specific app, events completed by a specific user, certain attributes of a document, and more.
- Columns
Allows you to hide or show any of the default columns.
- Sort
Allows you to sort your History by Date & Time, Component, or Event Type , as well as in ascending or descending order.
- Reset
Will reset your History back to the default settings, including defaults for columns and the sort feature.
Some columns will allow you to narrow down results further by specific entries. When hovering over the App, Component, or Event Type columns, a menu icon will appear that can be used to enter a keyword to search on.
When you have filtered the history down to the item you want to view, click into the row and the detailed history can be viewed, formatted in JSON.
