Form Title Field

As an App Administrator you have the ability to assign a field from your form to function as the "title" associated with an app. This adjustment will make the process of sharing data across apps easier as you can identify individual documents of the app by the specified field (See Data Sharing).

To Set the Form Title Field:

• Within an app, navigate to the Form Builder and click on Form Settings at the top right of the screen.
• Select the field on your form that should be designated as the Title from the Form Title Field drop-down.
  • By default, the title field is set to be the document’s ID number.
  • Also, the order of the dropdown in the linked app will be alphabetically on the Form Title Field.

Note: In addition to the created by or submitted by meta data, only the following gadgets may be used as the form title: 

• Short Text
• Long Text
• Email
• Data Lookup (single or list) - if they reference People within Kuali
